how much calcium during pregnancy

hi Cyber doc

I am 6.5 months pregnant, could you tell me how much calcium I should be taking in everyday? and which supplements you''d recommend . I''m taking DS24 daily, but its only 20mg calcium. `took Caltrate plus for a month but not sure of the specific quantity.

It isn't certain how much calcium is needed in pregnancy. In general it is though to be around 1000mg. However, dietary intake will form part of this and also calcium metabolism changes in pregnancy.
