Hot flushes

Im a bit confused as recently I heard that having cancer causes hot flushes or night sweats. Are these only at night? Menopause also has hot flushes and night sweats. Is there a difference between these hot flushes or night sweats? How do you know if its cancer or menopause??

Dear Sadi
Only some cancers do, and they always have other symptoms with the night sweats like weight loss, pain, coughing or bowel symptoms or changes can be seen in the blood with a full blood count. If you want to be certain and you are in the menopause age range, ask your doctor to check your FSH with a blood test and also check your full blood count and ESR.
