Unknown. Nobody really knows because the products are never tested. But there's a better than average chance, yes, if the supplement is effective, that it will have side effects. The opposite is equally true - if it's safe, then it probably isn't working anyway. So you're left with two choices - one is that you take something that may work, but it's risky, the other is that it's safe, but doesn't work. I'd say that either way, it's probably not worth the risk.
