Your daughter is clearly sensitive girl and in allot of pain emotionally and physically related to performance anxiety around her school experience and exams.
As a child I suffered as well and my mom gave me rescue remedy, which had some placebo effect. This wil be more of a nice-to-read as Im sure your daughter really needs expert attention. I can refer you on to a network of practitioners if you are not in Jhb or CT.
In the mean it is vital that your daughter is shown how to focus in to a state of calm for five mins before school or exams into engaging a relaxed state. Pranayama Breathing and Mindfulness techniques are best here. My suggestion is to explain to her that she must find a quiet spot in the school ground or at home before leaving where she can be alone.
Then to sit and quieten her mind with a counting metronome. This is simply achieved by counting 1234 as she breathes in and the 5678910 as she slowly breathes out.
Please Remind her she must focus on the numbers and let EVERY other thought or emotion simply pause or even stop completely. Ask her to place her hand on her belly area to focus on the feeling on the breathe coming in and out.
Perhaps print this off for her to read or ask her to reply herself if she is PC literate :) I hope this helps as I am very passionate about this age group. I look fwd to your reply to assist further.
