HIV PREGNANCY

I am HIV+ with HIV- partner, we want to have a baby-please explain our options and how do we go about conceiving without baby or dad contracting the virus. I am not on meds because my CD4 is still good and viral load very low.

The safest way would be with artificial insemination from your partner. You should also be on antiretrovirals if you are planning to conceive. See a gynae to plan this.

Best wishes
