HIV

If you where infected by your partner and you decide to continue on in the relationship, does that mean you have the strain of HIV and what will the long term risk be if you continue to have unprotected sex with only each other?

Dear Anonymous
Although you probably would have the same strain as your partner, the recommendation is that you use condoms to prevent cross infection with more virus over time ( also if your partner has more than one partner it puts you at risk to pick up another strain of HIV)
