It is possible that she did have a stroke. Unfortunately, it can only be confirmed with a MRI scan of the brain. It is also possible that she is suffering from Bells Palsy, where the seventh cranial nerve is affected and causes one side of the face to be "floppy". Bells Palsy will resolve by itself within a couple of weeks to a few months and is usually treated with a high dose of corticosteroids.
