Hearing Loss thru vibration noise

What is the intensity level that hearing loss will occur due to vibration of the skull / mastoid? Usually in industries, hearing protectors are used. When will they be ineffective due to vibration caused by excessive loud noise?

Senso neural hearing loss are normally caused by noise travelling through the ear canal. I don't think vibrating noise will have the same damaging effects as you have to actually press it against the bone to conduct the noise.
