HCG levels

Hi,

I had to have a dnc and was told that I had a blighted ovum. The results came back and my HCG levels were low. Can this cause a blighted ovum? Is this serious????? Will it affect my falling pregnant again and sustaining a pregnancy?

The HCG level was the result of the blighted ovum, not the cause. HCG is only present when you are pregnant so this has no effect on future pregnancies.

Best wishes

The blighted ovum is the cause of the low levels not the other way around.

It will not affect future chances.
