Dear June
You do have problems if you suffer from a bad back and migraines. I would recommend that you try using an energy-reduced, low-fat, high-fibre diet (click on 'Diet' at the top of this page, 'Weight loss', ‘Balanced diet’ and then on 'Slimming Diet' for a copy of such a diet), which will not affect your migraines as long as you avoid those foods that specifically trigger your migraines (e.g. biltong, red wine, etc). If you stick to this type of diet you should lose about 0,5 kg per week despite not doing any exercise. Exercise would speed up the process.
Best regards
