Reply to Kate Posted by: Caz | 2006/12/04 En jy Zombie? Vir wat het jy al gebyt? Reply to Caz Posted by: Joanne E | 2006/12/04 my husband was bitten by a puff adder- and it died. He stood on it in long grass at night and felt a jab and the farm workers had taught him to drag his foot if he stood on a thorn. He thought it was that. The next day he came home with aching muscles and said his ankle was so sore. I looked at it and said I thought the "thorn" mark looked like a snake bite. He thought I was talking cr8p. But we went to see his BIL who is a paramedic and he said straightaway, "I found a dead puffadder in the yard this morning. WHen he had dragged his foot he had actually crushed it's neck unknowingly. At medicross the doc confirmed it was a snake bite as he spotted the two teeny extra little holes between the other two. Of course by then it was too late to give anti venom as it was 24 hours later. It was the movement that he had made with his foot that stopped the snake biting him properly and therefore saved his life.We got the snakeskin as a trophy after that. Reply to Caz Posted by: Playgirl | 2006/12/04 Sak spinnekop het my op my regterhand gebyt toe ek klein was - my ma sê na die byt het dit gelyk of ek letterlik 'n sak op my hand gehad het. Wel ek het steeks die bytmerk. - en frankly dink ek dit was 'n m o e r s e spinnekop, want die merk is huge....My man was verlede jaar by 'n strandhuis deur 'n skerpion gesteek, maar dit was nie 'n giftige een nie...
