Hallo Della
It is better not to be on Glucophage when you are pregnant but to go over on to the injectable insulin until after the birth - because baby probably has a normal pancreas and you don't want him/her to get glucophage in via your bloodstream if he/she does not need it. It may cause dangerously low bloodsugar for your baby. Insulin does not cross the placenta and will work only in your body. Please discuss with your doctor.
