getting the right contraceptives

im 23 yrs, sexually active and want to start taking birth control pills. I don' t have a personal doctor, who give the contraceptives? A Gynae or GP? What is the procedure?

Just also wanted to mention that you can go to your local clinic or local pharmacy that has a nursing sister on duty,. They are also trained to provide you with oral/injectable contraceptives.
