Getting off the pill

Hi
I was operated on a year ago for Endometriosis, i was told that i would have to be on the pill up until i decide to have a child, to manage my Endometriosis.
Is this true, i tought i could go off the pill, and get myself " back to normal"  to try and concieve by the end of the year?

You will obviously have to come off the Pill in order to conceive, but you don't need more than a month or two for your body to adjust.
