genital warts

i found out i have warts and i went to the clinic and they apply podophyllin twice a week,but i saw some warts in the opening of the vagina and i would like to know if its safe for them to appcpoly the podophyllin also,and how long will it take for them to fall out(the nurses dont explain all this to us even when u ask.)
your reply will mean a lot to me.

Yes, it is safe to apply. You can apply Vaseline around the wart before applying podophyllin to prevent burning and irritation of the skin. It can take up to two to three weeks before it will disappear. Your sexual partner will also have to be treated. Due to the presence of the warts around the vagina, you will have to have a papsmear done, to exclude the formation of warts on the cervix, which can in turn lead to cancer of the cervix.
