genital warts

Dear doctor

My cousin is 38 weeks pregnant and has developed genital warts, she is in severe pain and the gyneacologist has informed us that they cannot deliver the baby now and cannot treat them either until the baby is born. she is not on any meidcal aid scheme and we cannot raise funds to pay cash at a private clinic so she can get help. We are scared that the baby will be infected with this virus if born via varginal delivery.

Please help, we are really desperate.

Kind regards

If the warts are so big that they will interfere with delivery, then a caesarean should be done. If not, a vaginal birth is usually allowed.
