Gastro Intestinal Bleeding

What are the most common causes of GI Bleeding? My husband has been passing blood in his stools and is concerned about the possible causes. There is a high cancer risk in the family and he is seeking medical advise. I am just trying to find out as much as possible for our own peace of mind.

It can be caused by bleeding peptic ulcers, diverticulosis, inflammatory bowel disease like ulcerative colitis or crohns disease, polyps, cancer or internal hemorroids. Best to have it checked out.
