Gallbladder

G/bladder removed - was told that g/stones can return. Is this true?

Dear Belinda
If your entire gallbladder was removed surgically then the risk of gallstones recurring is estimated to be extremely small (less than 1%). If only the stones were removed and the gallbladder is still intact, then recurrence of stones is much more likely.
