Gall Bladder problems

Hi Doc. I suffered a bout of gall bladder pain. Was referred to a specialist surgeon,by my surgeon who does not do anything to do with the bile duct. The specialist removed " sludge"  from the gall bladder and bile duct. He did not find stones in the gall bladder and said there was no need to have the gall bladder removed. On returning to my local surgeon I was told that the gall bladder MUST be removed. I questioned this in view of what the specialist wrote and told me and told me. My surgeon said I had " misunderstood"  what the specialist said. What should I do now ? I cannot reconcile that the two of them have such opposing views ??
