GAD

Hi CS

I have been diagnosed with GAD. I am wanting to know if GAD is caused by an emotional issue or a chemical imbalance or a bit of both? (I forgot to ask my doctor).

Thank you.

A bit of both. Some people are chemically prone to excessive or chronic anxiety, like an unstable car alarm that goes off when a leaf falls on the roof ; some of us are more sturdy till overwhelmed by circumstances, either too much in a short period of time, or cumulatively too much overa period of time
