Hi Ava, thank you for the question.

Improvement following Fraxel treatment (and other ablative fractional treatments) is dependent on the type of Fraxel machine being used (see below), condition/concern that is being addressed, the area being treated, condition of the skin (degree of sun damage), age of the skin, depth of wrinkles and/or scarring, AND the operator using the machine.

Typically one should start to see visible improvement after 2 to 3 sessions but some patients notice improvements after a single session.

Fraxel re:fine™ Treatment: This fractional, non-ablative treatment delivers a gentle yet effective option for skin rejuvenation and resurfacing:
Improves texture, tone, pigmentation and periorbital fine lines—all with minimal downtime or discomfort

Fraxel re:store™ Treatment: This flagship Fraxel system is the gold standard for non-ablative skin resurfacing and rejuvenation:
For photodamage, mild to moderate periorbital wrinkles, acne scars, surgical scars, melasma and Actinic Keratosis

Fraxel re:pair®Treatment: This fractional treatment CO2 laser is an aggressive treatment for moderate to severe photo damage:
Rhytides
Pigmented lesions
Moderate to severe wrinkles and furrows in lax skin
Fine lines
Textural irregularities
Vascular dyschromia
