Hi Doc
I am having fraxel done to my under eye area, and would like to know what the post treatment care would be!

How do i reduce the swelling and redness?

The swelling and redness that one experiences following fractional laser is a normal inflammatory response. After the procedure your doctor will recommend the application of a barrier cream with or without antibacterial properties. The use of cold compresses will help reduce the discomfort and swelling. The degree and extent of the inflammatory response is dependent on the settings chosen and the way your body will respond to the treatment. Furthermore one can consider the use of anti-inflammatory tablets if the swelling is severe.
