Q.

Forbidden Fruit

" Forbidden fruit is any object of desire whose appeal is a direct result of knowledge that cannot or should not be obtained or something that someone may want but is forbidden to have."

Damn, that is what I''ve been trying to say all along. Only clicked now after reading a post in H2H. Would have made my life so much easier last week.

So Woman, I should rather have called that post, " It all boils down to.....us all wanting forbidden fruit!

Brendan dream on dear until someone gives you a koek-klap and tell you to wake up.

You are not the bees knees. Meer soos ''n drol in die hoender se hol.

Book a room you two and get the sexual tension out the way.

You both google most of your responses more so if you want to refer or reference something - MT readers arent as daft as you think. We spot the difference between an honest opinion and a googled interpretation/opinion.

Both of you are DEFINITELY not as intellectual as want to potray yourselves. Quoting books and authors and what-not goeters.

That is why people get bored reading your responses its just a lot of quotes and lines from other people - never your own words (but you want to make us think it is)

POSERS that is what you are!!!

I don''t care whether you like me or not.

Brendan, have you actually googled Darwin awards?

And you don''t come across as a pseudo intellectual at all, just an inexperienced fool.

No not really, I like you actually. A psuedo intellectual like myself! We can google anything and appear smart! Even if only in the short term. But we all get caught out eventually.
So Woman, I nominate you to share my Smart Boy Award. Oh and the other day that comment of yours had Darwin written all over it! " At least he would be honest and show backbone" ! I mean Wtf?

Wow, thank you for googling the definition of generalisation, Brendan. But truly, not necessary, we all know just what a smart boy you are. You get the ''smart boy'' badge today.

A generalization of a concept is an extension of the concept to less-specific criteria. It is a foundational element of logic and human reasoning. Generalization posits the existence of a domain or set of elements, as well as one or more common characteristics shared by those elements. As such, it is the essential basis of all valid deductive inference.

''To generalize is to be an idiot. To particularize is the alone distinction of merit. General knowledge are those knowledge that idiots possess. '' - William Blake

" ... the hydrostatic paradox of controversy. Don''t you know what that means? Well, I will tell you. You know that, if you had a bent tube, one arm of which was of the size of a pipe-stem, and the other big enough to hold the ocean, water would stand at the same height in one as in the other. Controversy equalizes fools and wise men in the same way. And the fools know it."  - Oliver W. Holmes
