folic acids

Friend suggested for me to take folic acid to prepare myself for pregnancy is it true can it help

Folic acid is important to take before preparation of pregnancy as a lack of folic acid in the early stages of pregnancy may contribute to an increase risk in foetal anomalies. However the taking of folic acid does not increase your chances pf falling pregnant.
