Hello,

I' m planning for a second baby and have stopped using the pill since July. A friend of mine suggested that i use folic acid supplements, because that worked for her as she has iron defiency. I just wanted to know if i can tstart taking folic acid supplements as well as whether i would need a prescription to buy them?
Thanks

A folic acid supplement is a good idea. You do not require a prescription as these are available over the counter. I's suggest something like Folic Acid Forte.
