flaxseed

Hi, yesterday on TV (New you) program they said that you can use 1 teaspoon of flaxseen which stand overnight in little water and take it in the morning to help with digestion and keep you regular. Can you please tell me how much fat that will contain as I would not like to gain weight by doing this.

God bless

Dear Samantha
If you consume 5 g or 1 teaspoon of flaxseed it will probably contribute 95 kJ and 2.1 g of fat to your daily intake. This should not cause weight gain.
