Fish portions

Hello,

I am aware that you are suppose to consume 2-3 portions of fish a week.

What constitutes a portion? Does canned tuna or mackerel count, as well as grilled fish fingers? Or is it only in terms of fillets of fish?

Thank you

Bernard

Dear Bernard
All types of raw, cooked or canned fish count towards your fish intake. Sushi, grilled fish, baked, boiled, steamed or smoked or canned. As long as you eat 2-3 hand-size portions of any type of fish you can obtain, that is fine and protects against degenerative disease.
