I have heard that one of the best exercises to firm up the buttocks is to sit upright on the floor with your legs straight in front of you and then 'walk' forwards and backwards on the floor by moving one buttock and then the other. This exercises the large muscles in the buttocks. You could also check your telephone book to see if there is a biokineticist in your area and ask for a consultation.
