fingers go dead

Hi
Please help me. My husband is complaining about his left hand skin feeling dead. he doesn' t have pins and needles. he just doesn' t feel anything in the inside of his hand. It' s been 4 days now and i can see it is really annoying him, but he is stubborn and says it is nothing. Should I be concerned?

Dear Anon
He should see a doctor - he may have carpal tunnel syndrome, where the nerve going to the hand is pinched in the wrist.
