faithless and helpless

What hope is there for someone who suffers from severe depresssion but cant afford help...who''s family and friends dont care enough to be there for me...all they want to do is sweep it under the rug and pretend there isnt a problem...what help exists for someone as helpless and hopeless as me :(

It should always be possible to get some help. Every government hospital or clinic should be able to provide a psychiatric consultation and treatment. And facilities like a support group ( contact the anxiety/depression support group, number on this page ) are free.
It's sad if family and friends aren't supportive, but they are not essential, as you can recover on your own strengths with the proper help. Don't rely on these people if they are so unreliable - don't allow your health and happiness to be held hostage by unworthy people.

You may think that no-one cares but all of us who are afflicted with this illness cares. It may be that your friends and family don''t seem to care because they do not understand the true nature of this illness and they do not know how to deal with it.
You will come right, just hang in there. Remember, they call it a major depressive EPISODE.
Please look into the support group that Cyber Doc suggested.
