Hallo Ziona
It means that your pancreas does not make enough insulin to transfer sugar from the blood to the cells, and if you have been on tablets, and it does not work anymore, you will maybe need to add insulin injections to assist the pancreas. It is not a major problem, you may just have to change your medication.
