Eye infection

I have been sitting with a hard shaped ball in my eye now 6months started with eye lid infection now it feels very hard like, and it sit in the corner of my eye, which does cause me not to look out on the side of my eye and interfer''s when im putting make-up on. But have been told by a doctor its a syst. How do i go about taking it out?
