exercise

I see you often say that burning energy will affect you for 24 hours after exercise. This must surely then be on a sliding scale with less being used up a stime goes on. Based on this is it better to exercise in the morning (before a light breakfast) or late afternoon (before supper) ?

Dear Steve
Yes the stimulating effect on the basic metabolic rate would taper off over time with the greatest effect being felt immediately after exercising. However, the basic metabolic processes continue even when we sleep, so it does not really matter what time of day you exercise. Exercise when it fits into your schedule.
