Excessive sweating without fever

What could be the reason that a young boy of 9 sweat throughout the better part of the evening, without having a fever? It was not because of the heat, wasn''t that warm. Measured his temperature which was 37, 2 ° C. His forehead was cool, but his body was very hot to the touch. He was coughing up phlegm after I gave him some ACC™  200 effervescent tablets.
