-|- er Spaniel diet

I have recently bought the Royal Canin -|- er 25 food for my dog, and on the label it explains that the food should be given to -|- ers when they get 12 months old. My pup is now 11 months, would it be okay to give him this food yet? He seems uninterested in his Vet''s Choice Puppy and obviously the Royal Canin is breed specific food and in my opinion the best option for him.
Please help?
Thank you!

If he likes the new food, give it to him now. It won''t harm him.
