endometrial ablation

Hi
I had an endometrial ablation in July 2005, because of heavy and clotty periods, however it was never painfull. The bleeding totally stopped. June last year I experienced heavy abdominal pain and was treated for spastic colon, since then I have had the same pains once a month and now I notice a slight discharge (bloody) along with heavy adbominal pain. could it be that the op has "worn off" and my periods are starting again. Please help
