subject has experienced mood swings with more depressive states for over thirty years. difficult to live with though otherwise generally friendly and supportive. trouble sleeping requiring continuous use of anti-depressants and sleeping pills. under psychiatric supervision but seeks second opinion. swings improve a LITTLE with regular exercise. immediate trigger difficult to identify. detaches emotionally from those closest.

Psychiatric supervision is not enough. Weekly therapy sessions are the minimum required to manage this type of condition. You may also want to reconsider your anti depressants and look at alternatives. If you wish to forgo drugs, therapy is absolutely essential.
