Dear Dolly
Egg whites as I mentioned to another Reader called Alex today, are an excellent source of high quality protein without containing fat or cholesterol. It is, however, important to cook the egg whites because raw egg and egg whites contain an anti-nutritional factor called avidin which can cause a biotin deficiency if you eat too many raw egg whites. Cooked the egg whites are an excellent source of protein.
