Early pregnancy

I am around 7wks pregnant, went to see the gynae today he said I should take Utrogestan to help the lining. I have been having cramps for a few weeks more like period pains. Is that normal for early pregnancy and will _trogestan help to ease out the pains?

Mild cramps are normal in early pregnancy. Uterogestan may help prevent miscarriages but will not affect normal pregnancy pains.
