Can you please tell me what tests and scabs are available to detect downs in pregnancy? When is it done? Can any gynae do it?

Thanks
Ronel

A nuchal scan can be done to screen for Down syndrome. This is done at 13 weeks. Some gynaes have training in this but many do not and would then refer you to a fetal specialist.
