Doing yoga right...

Hi There,

What is the best time of the day to do yoga? Morning or afternoon? I work out in the mornings and want to do yoga in the evenings, is that a good time to do it?

Also, when is the best time to eat - before or after yoga?

Thanks alot!

Hi Caroll,
Traditionally the best time for yoga or any spiritual practice is the time just before and including sunrise. Another good time is around sunset. Obviosly more important than the time is the regularity. So if there is a time that you find suits you and you can practice regularly at that time each day, this will be best. For yoga asana (postures) and most pranayama (breathing practices) it is recomended to do them on an empty stomach, so eat after rather than before.
