Dog choking

Dear doc.

I have a mix doberman pincher and some days he just starts to choke, it sounds like a cat trying to remove a hearball. Is there something wrong with him or can this just be because of sonmething he ate. Hes been doing it for about a month now.

I' m presuming you mean a miniature one?

If so, go and talk to your vet - they are fairly prone to a condition called ' collapsing trachea'  - google it.
