Does Red Clover have immune boosting properties?

Dear Cyber Pharmacist

I would like to know whether Red Clover and other Hormone Replacement formulas support or boost the immune system in any way and whether they should be avoided by people with auto-immune diseases.

Regards

Anne

Hi Anne

Red Clover is indeed marketed to, amongst others, bolster the immune system. The decision whether it should be used in chronic illness should however best be taken by your specialist. Generally I however if it will bolster the immune system to unsafe levels.
