Digesting

With a 2 and a half year old.
If he throws up, a lot his food appears not to have been digested even though he had eaten it several( 4-6) hours before. For example, if he had spaghetti in the afternoon, there will still be lot''s of whole strings. And if he had oven bake chips, those will also come out whole
Could the reason for this be only that he does not chew his food properly, or could there be a serious problem?

Dear Johannes
From what you describe, it would seem that your 2 and a half year old son, is not digesting his food properly. This can be due to a variety of reasons (lack of digestive enzymes, reflux, obstructions, malabsorption, etc). Please take your lad for a medical examination because it is important to obtain a diagnosis, particularly if this condition is caused by a problem like obstruction. Once we have a diagnosis, we can see how to change his diet and/or eating habits.
Best regards
