Diflucan while breasfeeding

Dear Gynaedoc

Is it safe to take Diflucan while breastfeeding? I got my script via facsimile after a papsmear and did not get to discuss this with my gynae.

Thank you

Ask the pharmacist when you go to collect the meds. They are the ones who know best what goes into breastmilk and what doesn''t and what the effects are on baby.
I think though that many moms get prescribed thsi for thrush on their breasts while breastfeeding, but just check with the pharmacist.
