Diet suppliments

I heard many personal trainers say that diet suppliments are bad for your health. Is this true or is it just a gimmic to convince people to do exercise.

Dear Nic
I fully agree with those personal trainers that diet supplements (slimming and muscle building) can have negative side-effects, and cost a lot of money. To lose weight or build muscles you need to do exercise and eat a balanced diet.
