DIET FOR PEPTIC ULCER

MY FATHER HAS BEEN DIAGNOSIED WITH A PEPTIC ULCER AND HAS SPENT TIME IN HOSPITAL. IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR TIPS ON DIETS FOR PEPTIC ULCERS ON THE NET BUT IVE RECEIVED VERY CONFLICTING RESULTS. CAN YOU ADVISE ME WHAT HE SHOULD BE EATING AND WHAT HE SHOULD AVOID ? THANKS

He should avoid very acidic foods (pineapple, tomato, vinegar) as well as burning foods (curry, peppers etc) alcohol, tobacco,and medications like disprin, grandpa, anti-inflammatory medication, cortisone.
He can eat any fresh (non sour) fruits, vegetables, rice, potatoes, wheat/corn products, low fat meats.Pawpaw is very soothing for a peptic ulcer.
