Our expert says:
The SA Heart Foundation has recommended that adult South Africans should eat only 4 eggs a week, so having nearly double every week is not advisable because they have a high cholesterol content. Do you avoid milk and yoghurt because of slimming purposes or because you are allergic? If you are not allergic or sensitive to milk and yoghurt then it would be a good idea to use fat-free yoghurt or cottage cheese as substitutes for all those lunch-time eggs. Canned fish is also a good substitute. Dry biltong has rather a high energy content (According to the SA Food Tables fat-trimmed beef biltong contains 1039 kJ per 100g) so eat biltong in small portions. Your diet seems adequate except for the lack of a good calcium source if you don't or can't eat dairy products. It may be advisable to take a calcium supplement such as Caltrate or Calcium Sandoz to provide you with the 1200 mg of calcium you require on a daily basis.
Keep up the good work with the gym
