More like but not very likely. If one parent had depression the risk is higher than if neither did ; if BOTh parents did, the risk is a bit higher.
But pleaswe, if you have been feeling depressed lately, depression is a serious and common condition which usually responds very well to proper treatment, so PLEASE go and see a doc, a psychiatrist if possible, for assessment and advice. There's nothing to be scared of - most docs are rather nice, and want to help. And i they confirm you're depressed, well, that's what you have been assuming anyway - except with their confirmation the route is open for proper treatment. Neglecting and trying to ignore such a problem is the most risky and least pleasant alrternative.
