Diabetic bf

Hi. My boyfriend is 32, has been diabetic since he was 16. One day he told me that he would die by the age of 50. He didn''t look like he was joking at the time. But later I asked him why would he die at 50 if he still injected insulin same way as he does now. Then he said he had been joking he will not die at 50 (from diabetes that is). Please enlighten me guys, I have googled, but anyone can put any kind of inaccurate info on google.

Hallo Bongi
There is no age where a diabetic will die - it depends on how well they manage their blood sugar with diet and injections and whether they develop complications.
